Metal News in March 2002: Back to Homepage ---23rd OF MARCH: -Ritual Carnage has finished recording their third album and it will be released on 21st of may called "The birth of tragedy": 01. The Sixth Sense 02. The Birth of Tragedy 03. Burning Eyes of Rage 04. Paradox of Democracy 05. Fall of the Empire 06. Shroud of Secrecy 07. Sanity's Thin Line 08. Grave New World 09. Dawn of Decadence 10. Psycho-Sadistic Psychosis 11. Infernal Death (DEATH cover) ---21st OF MARCH: -Overkill will record their live CD/DVD on saturday(23rd) in Asbury Park(NJ) and it will be released at the end of the year. -Malevolent Creation has signed a deal with Nuclear Blast, but there are rumors that their drummer Dave Culross is going to quit the band. ---20th OF MARCH: -Celtic Frost has already recorded demos for their new album and will enter an english studio to finish the piece somehwere in the summer. It will be recorded in the classic 3-piece line-up plus Erol Unala from Apollyn Sun plus some guests related to CF's history. ---18th OF MARCH: -Incantation's new album called "Blasphemy" will be released on 8th of april. ---11th OF MARCH: -Atheist will not re-unite to record a new album. Due to the responsabilities of Schaffer with Neurotica they don't plan to re-unite in the near future neither. Although Burkley will still work on the new tracks and wait for a new singer to enter the studio. ---10th OF MARCH: -Marduk has found a new drummer, Emil Dragutinovic. With him the band will start the work on their new, 8th album which will be released at the end of 2002. ---8th OF MARCH: -"King of all kings" will be the name for the second album of Hate Eternal. -Roadrunner has confirmed the split-up of Fear Factory, their never released debut album "Concrete" will see the light of the day. ---7th OF MARCH: -Fear factory has splited up, it has been decided by band when the frontman Bell annonced he quits, they will make a last recording for the game Terminator in 5 days. -The drummer of Marduk Frederik Andersson has quitted, everything happened in a good atmosphere between the band and himself. -Metallica will release a song made with raper Ja Rule named "We did it again" on 11th of june. -Therion has also lost the drummer, Sami Karpinnen, a new one has benn already chosen, named Rickard. ---4th OF MARCH: -Celtic Frost has been reborn! The three members band is back and working on a new album. Althoughout(as Tom said) the label, date or any details about the album's recording are not known. As he said it is their best music since "Into the pandemonium" album, but they are not 100% if they will even release it as they have many problems with it. Time will show. -In Flames have entered the studio in Sweden to record a new album due on summer through Nuclear Blast. -As John Bush talks about the new Anthrax album(24th of june) it will be a return to their thrash roots, but it won't be a copy of their old albums, something fresh and based on their origins(titled "Taking the music back"). |
